Another FO

Twist_1 Twist, by Bonne Marie Burns in Peruvian Collection Highland Wool, "Redwood".  No, that's not me modeling it - that is my friend and co-worker, Ann.  It looks nice on her doesn't it?  I started this sweater around Thanksgiving and put it down to do gift-knitting.  I told myself I could pick it back up as soon as all the gifts were completed.  I had completed the back and one front.  Something happened between then and now.  It appears I put on about 10 pounds.  Just enough that it did not fit well.  Oh, I could button it, but I wouldn't wear it out that way.  I thought maybe I could save it till I lost weight, but then realized I could knit another one in the next size up in about 2 weeks.  I am pretty sure I can't lose 10 lbs that fast.  So, Ann, who had a birthday this month, now has a hand-knit wool sweater.  It looks good on her.

I also finished another little knit, but can't get the camera to cooperate.  It's a sleeveless turtleneck using Lion Brand Homespun yarn in Sierra.  Don't look at me that way.  I don't do acrylic very often, but I couldn't resist a quick (weekend), cheap (under 10 bucks) knit that I wouldn't have to worry about caring for (machine wash and dry).  Besides, it's really soft.  I am wearing it today.  Did you know that you don't have to block this stuff?  And trust me, it's warm, even without sleeves.  Who knew?

That's so nice of you to give the sweater away!

Twist is beautiful and you are a very generous friend!

It looks great! And it looks like she'll love it.

The sweater is lovely and aren't you a nice friend to give such a great gift! I also think it says a lot about the pattern that you want to knit it again.

Lucky Ann - it looks great!

That's a beautiful sweater and a great gift.

I don't mind working with Homespun.

But . . . but . . . but . . .

Your knitting never ceases to amaze me. Seriously. That sweater is beautiful!

Lucky Ann, she looks great! And your comments about the chicknits' pattern have inspired me to knit my own Twist.
